Dealer-Standard Repairs
Why Choose Cedar Garage for Land Rover Repairs?
Land Rovers are built to work hard, and towing and off-road driving take their toll over time. Our technicians repair Land Rovers every day, from the Defender and Discovery to the Discovery Sport, so they know exactly what to look for. We confirm the fault before recommending any work, so you only pay to fix the actual problem.
If a repair needs setting up or programming afterwards, we do it in house with Jaguar Land Rover diagnostic software, so there's no extra trip to the dealer, and we can update your digital service history too. We'll explain what needs doing and what can wait, never carry out extra work without your approval, and can offer collection and delivery or a hire car while your Land Rover is with us.
As an independent Land Rover garage in Worthing, we also look after drivers from Goring, Lancing, Shoreham and Littlehampton. Driving a Range Rover, Evoque or Velar? See our Range Rover repairs page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Land Rover Repair FAQs
How much will my Land Rover repair cost?
It depends on the fault, the parts needed and the time involved. If you already know what needs doing, call our Worthing team on 01903 248967 for a quote. If not, we'll start with fault finding, then give you a clear quote before any work starts and explain what's urgent and what can wait. We never carry out extra work without your approval.
Will using an independent garage affect my Land Rover's warranty?
No. Under the UK Motor Vehicle Block Exemption Order, you can have your Land Rover serviced and repaired by an independent garage without affecting its manufacturer's warranty, as long as the work follows Land Rover's specifications and uses parts of matching quality. We fit high-quality parts made to at least the original standard, or genuine Land Rover parts if you'd prefer, and we'll tell you the price difference first. Faults covered by the manufacturer's warranty itself still need to go back to a Land Rover dealer.
Can you repair my Land Rover's air suspension?
Yes. Air suspension repairs are among the most common jobs we do on the Discovery 3, 4 and 5 and the new Defender. If you're seeing a suspension fault message or your Land Rover is sitting low, we find the cause, replace leaking air springs, pipes, the compressor, valve block or height sensors as needed, then calibrate the ride height with our diagnostic equipment so it sits level and rides as it should.
Why has the electronic parking brake stopped working on my Land Rover?
MORE GENERIC RESPONSE ABOUT BOOKING IN DIAG Electronic parking brake faults are a well-known issue, particularly on the Discovery 3 and 4. The cause can be the parking brake module, the actuator, the cables or worn rear brakes. We find which part has failed, repair it and set up the system so the parking brake works reliably again.
Why does my Freelander 2 say 4WD system fault?
MAKE IT MORE GENERIC AGAIN - REFER BACK TO DIAG. KEEP HALDEX WORDING. This usually points to the rear drive unit, often called the Haldex unit, which sends drive to the rear wheels on the Freelander 2 and early Discovery Sport. When its pump or controller fails, you'll see the 4WD system fault message and lose drive to the rear. We diagnose the unit, replace the failed parts and refresh the coupling oil so four-wheel drive works properly again.
Why is my Land Rover losing coolant?
USE AS EXAMPLE, BUT DON'T FOCUS ON THEM - LOOKS LIKE ADVERTISING JUST THESE. MORE GENERIC AND REFER TO DIAG
Coolant loss is a common fault on diesel Land Rovers, particularly the TDV6 and SDV6 engines in the Discovery 3 and 4. Typical causes include the coolant crossover pipe at the back of the engine, the water pump, radiator or hoses. We pressure test the cooling system to find the leak and repair it before it causes overheating. If your coolant warning light comes on, it's best not to keep driving.
Are your Land Rover repairs guaranteed?
Yes. Every Land Rover repair we carry out comes with a 12-month guarantee, so you can drive away with confidence. We use parts of matching quality too, so having your Land Rover repaired with us won't affect its manufacturer's warranty. If you ever have a concern about a repair we've carried out, just get in touch and we'll put it right.
