ADAS Calibration
Had a new windscreen, a wheel alignment or bumper repair? Your car's cameras and radar sensors will probably need recalibrating. ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) controls features like lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking and adaptive cruise control, and if a sensor is even slightly out, these systems can react late or not at all. We carry out ADAS camera and radar calibration for drivers across Worthing, Sompting and West Sussex.
Vehicle Safety Technology
Precision ADAS Calibration You Can Trust
Our technicians use manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment to carry out both static and dynamic ADAS calibrations, covering everything from windscreen cameras and parking cameras to front radar and blind spot sensors. We'll make sure your vehicle's safety systems are recalibrated correctly and performing exactly as the manufacturer intended, giving you complete peace of mind on every journey.

When Does Your Car Need ADAS Calibration?
Your vehicle's safety systems rely on precise calibration. Here's when you'll need it checked.
After a windscreen replacement
After bodywork or a collision, front or rear
After a wheel alignment or tracking adjustment
After suspension or steering work
After lowering your car or fitting different sized wheels
After a new radar sensor or camera has been fitted
If an ADAS warning light appears
If lane assist, adaptive cruise or emergency braking stop working or give false warnings
Static or Dynamic? We Cover Both
There are two recognised methods of ADAS calibration, and your vehicle may need one or the other, depending on the manufacturer and the system involved.

Method One
Static Calibration
Carried out in our workshop with the vehicle stationary. We use manufacturer-specific targets and diagnostic equipment on a level surface to recalibrate cameras and sensors with total precision.

Method Two
Dynamic Calibration
Carried out on the road, with diagnostic equipment connected as the vehicle is driven at a set speed. This allows the system to recalibrate itself against real-world conditions. Some vehicles need both methods to be fully road ready.

Frequently Asked Questions
ADAS Calibration FAQs
Do I need ADAS calibration after a windscreen replacement?
In most cases, yes. Many cars have a camera behind the windscreen that needs recalibrating once a new screen is fitted. If yours hasn't been done, book in and we'll calibrate it for you.
How much does ADAS calibration cost?
It depends on your car and which systems need calibrating. Get in touch with your registration and we'll give you a price. If it follows a windscreen replacement or accident, it may be covered by your insurer.
How do I know if my car has ADAS?
If your car has features like lane assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking or blind spot warning, it has ADAS. Not sure? Give us your registration and we'll check.
Why has my lane assist or adaptive cruise control stopped working?
It's often because a camera or sensor is dirty, damaged or out of line, which can happen after a new windscreen, wheel alignment or even a small knock. Book in and we'll find the cause and recalibrate it if needed.
Is it safe to drive if my ADAS needs calibrating?
Your car will drive normally, but the driver assistance features may not work as they should. Don't rely on them until your car has been calibrated, and book in as soon as you can.
Do I need a wheel alignment before ADAS calibration?
Yes. The cameras and sensors are set up to match the direction your car drives, so we check the wheel alignment first and adjust it if needed.
How long does ADAS calibration take?
Most calibrations are done within a few hours. We'll give you a more accurate time once we know your car, and you'll get a calibration report when it's done.
Do you calibrate all makes and models?
We cover a wide range of makes and models. If you're unsure, get in touch with your registration and we'll confirm before you book.
